Shortly after the United States government abandoned its European "allies" to condemn the printing of "offensive" cartoons of Muhammad, they were handed a gift with the torching of buildings that housed the Norwegian and Danish Embassies in Damascus, Syria, while Swedish and Chilean installations were also damaged. Along with Iran, Syria has long been in the sights of pro-Zionist neo-cons angling to spread the Iraq war against these two regional enemies of Israel. The Norwegian Embassy in Beirut was also torched.
