Military Men Who Oppose Neo-Con Warmongering Under Attack by Michael Piper

For generations, Republicans were strong supporters of the American
military. But now that top military men are in open rebellion against the
armchair civilian war hawks—the hard-line pro-Israel ideologues who directed President George Bush to order an invasion of Iraq and who now want war on Iran—the angriest voices condemning the military are from GOP circles.

Neocon Gingrich Proposes Jeb Bush as Ruler by Kurt Nimmo

Newt Gingrich, the neocon troll who put out a contract on America, is pushing Jeb Bush as ruler, not in 2008 but down the road, in 2012 or 2016. “I just think his natural, personal ability is so great that people are going to realize he is not his father and he’s not his brother. He’s a very unique, charismatic leader with extraordinary capabilities. … Jeb Bush may well be the most innovative (governor) in the entire country,” Gingrich averred during the taping of a St. Petersburg television show. No word if the interviewer and television crew vomited.

Neocon Philosophy Directing The Age Of Tyranny

1 ) The Few Must Rule The Many

2 ) Virtue Is Defined By The Elite

3 ) The Strong Must Rule The Weak

4 ) Only One Natural Right: The Right To Rule Over The Vulgar Many

5 ) Justice Is Merely The Interest Of The Stronger

Washington grudge match: neoconservatives versus Republican realists by Justin Raimondo

The proposal included an offer "to accept much tighter controls by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in exchange for 'full access to peaceful nuclear technology.' It offered full cooperation with IAEA based on Iranian adoption of all relevant instruments (93+2 and all further IAEA protocols).'" This means that any Iranian facility could be the target of surprise inspections by IAEA personnel.

But that wasn't good enough for the Americans. They rejected the offer, and the road to war was cleared: but before the neocons force march us down it, a number of factors prevent the administration from going along for the ride.

The Latest Neocon Lie About Iran by GARY LEUPP

Taheri was also between 1972 and 1979 executive editor-in-chief of Kayhan, Iran's main daily newspaper under the Shah's regime. He contributes to the neocon National Review and his speaking engagements are handled by the warmongering neocon Benador Associates PR firm. He and these colleagues have repeatedly urged a U.S. attack to produce regime change in Iran. The neocons, of course, have shown themselves more than willing to employ deceit in building the case for military action; it is part of their Straussian modus operandi. However much their "intelligence" about Iraq, disseminated through Douglas Feith's Office of Special Plans and media sycophants like Judith Miller, has been discredited, they're plodding on with their strategy of vilifying yet another regime to build popular support for its overthrow.

The age of the neocons headed for the dustbin of history by Linda S. Heard

“The final hours of the North American empire have arrived . . . Now we have to say to the empire: ‘We are not afraid of you. You’re a paper tiger.’” These were the words of Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez during his recent visit to Vienna.

He may be right. The concept of a “New American Century,” conceptualized by neoconservatives who envisioned total US hegemony over land, seas, skies and even space, is fast fading. In the post-Sept. 11 climate of fear it seemed that all Washington had to do was wag its finger at errant nations for them to cave and do its bidding. Not so today.

US, ISRAEL OPERATE IN IRAN by Richard Walker

It was Israel’s neo-con friends in Washington who once believed a new Iraq would be Israel’s best ally, but the more that vision has turned to nightmare, the more Israel has looked to the creation of a separate Kurdish state in Iraq as the next best thing.

Israel’s relationship with the Kurds goes back a long way. During the Iran-Iraq war, the Israelis supplied the Kurds with weapons to attack Saddam Hussein’s forces. Then, after the first Gulf War, when the United States and its allies abandoned the Kurds, Israel continued to provide them with weapons and training.

Iraq's oil: A neo-con dream gone bust by Peter Kiernan

Crude-oil prices hit a record US$75 per barrel in late April, a level nearly three times the prices seen just prior to the US-led invasion of Iraq in March 2003. Although oil prices have slipped a few dollars since then, the bullish price environment is not something the Bush administration banked on when it launched the military campaign to oust Saddam Hussein from power three years ago.

The Delusional World of Neocon Make-Believe by Steve Watson

Laura Bush's latest comments reveal just how deluded and out of the reality loop the Neocon puppets are.

Interviewed on Fox News Sunday, Laura Bush said she did not think people were losing confidence in President George W. Bush, despite a series of polls showing support for him at its lowest point in his five-year presidency and among the lowest for any president in the past 50 years.

One More Clue That the American Empire Is Waning by Karen Kwiatkowski

My former Pentagon boss, Under Secretary of Defense for Policy and one of several ill-qualified but very enthusiastic neoconservative architects of war and destruction in the Middle East, has a new job.

Doug Feith stepped down last August to spend more time with his family and write his memoirs. He’s still working on the book, but he will now have to squeeze it in between lectures at Georgetown. Feith is a Hoya! He was hired – in a most odd way – by the Dean of the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, Robert Gallucci.

Stop the Neocons from Digging our Graves! by William Hughes

Pundit Jim Lobe, in covering Cheney's rant, revealed how another Neocon, Robert Kagan, is pushing a similar get-tough line on Russia. Kagan's wife, Victoria Nuland, Lobe said, once worked as Cheney's deputy national security advisor. She is now the U.S. Ambassador to NATO. Of course, Irving "Scooter" Libby was in Cheney's office, too. Doesn't all of this make you wonder: Who has been representing the interests of the vast majority of the American people in the White House for the last six years?

Neocon 101

What do neoconservatives believe? "Neocons" believe that the United States should not be ashamed to use its unrivaled power – forcefully if necessary – to promote its values around the world. Some even speak of the need to cultivate a US empire. Neoconservatives believe modern threats facing the US can no longer be reliably contained and therefore must be prevented, sometimes through preemptive military action.

Thinking About Neoconservatism by Kevin MacDonald

Over the last year, there’s been a torrent of articles on neoconservatism raising (usually implicitly) some vexing issues: Are neoconservatives different from other conservatives? Is neoconservatism a Jewish movement? Is it “anti-Semitic” to say so?

The dispute between the neocons and more traditional conservatives — “paleoconservatives” — is especially important because the latter now find themselves on the outside, looking in on the conservative power structure.

Victory on Anti-Palestinian Legislation (H. R. 4681): U. S. Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation

Victory on Anti-Palestinian Legislation; Take Action Today

Due in part to your unprecedented opposition to anti-Palestinian legislation, the House leadership has unexpectedly removed H. R. 4681, the Palestinian Anti-Terrorism Act of 2006, from today's list of scheduled votes!

Meanwhile, the House Judiciary Committee has asserted its jurisdiction over the bill and will hold a "mark-up" session tomorrow, Wed., May 10, to discuss possible amendments to it. The Judiciary Committee has jurisdiction over the important section of the resolution that deals with visas.

As currently written, Section 6 of H. R. 4681 states that "A visa shall not be issued to any alien who is an official of, affiliated with, or serving as a representative of the Palestinian Authority" without a special waiver issued by the President. The resolution defines the Palestinian Authority to include the Palestinian Legislative Council, meaning that even non-Hamas members of the Palestinian Legislative Council, such as Mustafa Barghouti, Hanan Ashrawi, Nabil Sha'ath, and Saeb Erakat, could be banned from entering the United States.

Current US law already prohibits the granting of a visa to a person belonging to a group, such as Hamas, which the United States considers to be a "foreign terrorist organization".

TAKE ACTION: Contact the House Judiciary Committee today through the Capitol switchboard at 1-800-355-3588 or directly at 202-225-3951 and tell the committee that the Palestinian Anti-Terrorism Act should conform to current US law and only deny visas to members of groups the United States considers to be a "foreign terrorist organization". Ask the committee to amend the Palestinian Anti-Terrorism Act to include a provision that would continue to grant visas to Palestinian politicians who are not members of US-designated "foreign terrorist organizations".
Also, if your Representative is on the House Judiciary Committee, please call them today as well with the same message.

Neocons Dismember the CIA by Kurt Nimmo

As speculated here over the weekend, the impending appointment of General Michael Hayden to the CIA will translate into the wholesale dismemberment of the agency in favor of the Pentagon conducting “paramilitary operations” (i.e., subverting governments around the world). “A senior intelligence community official yesterday said the director of national intelligence, John Negroponte, has indicated ‘he is willing to give up covert operations to the Pentagon,’” reports the New York Sun. “The proposed change would give the Pentagon unfettered authority to plan and conduct these operations without consulting an intelligence bureaucracy its civilian leaders have deemed hostile to the president’s war policy,” a completely natural opposition since the operations of the Straussian neocons are quite dangerous and insane.

The neocons strike again by David Clark

It wouldn't be the first time that the Bush administration has played an important role in persuading Tony Blair to sack his foreign secretary. It was little discussed at the time, but Robin Cook's demotion in 2001 also followed hostile representations from Washington and private expressions of doubt in Downing Street about his ability to work with a Republican administration. Again, there may have been other factors, but of those suggested at the time, none seems convincing. Last week's reshuffle helps to put the episode in a new, revealing context.

Feith to Teach Next Generation of Neolib Marauders by Kurt Nimmo

As if to underscore the fact there is little difference between neocons and neolibs, consider the fact Douglas Feith, warmonger and water carrier for the racist Jabotinskyites in Israel, will “teach a course on the Bush administration’s strategy for the war on terror” at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, according to the Guardian. In other words, Feith will instruct the next generation of globalists how best to invade countries, kill thousands of people, and plunge the remainder into misery and hardship. “I think it’ll be enjoyable and useful to teach Georgetown students about the administration’s national security policies and policy making,'’ Feith told the British newspaper. “I may be able to shed some light on little-understood topics that have generated enormous heat in the public debate.'’ Feith, who oversaw efforts to provide “strategic intelligence” at the Office of Special Plans, will teach students how to lie and get away with it.

A Bush/Neocon/Zionist Atomic 'Incident' In The US?

Israel pressed their neocons to induce the Bush people to invade Iraq because Saddam was considered to be a major enemy. Don't forget that during Operation Desert Storm, Saddam launched SCUD missiles at Israel which landed on their targets, completely unimpeded by the utterly useless PATRIOT US counter-missiles. This program of getting a befuddled President to pull Israel's chestnuts out of the fire workedbut only for Israel. Now, Israel views Iran's atomic program, coupled with an aggressive President, as another disaster in the making. Rather than launch air attacks against suspected research/weapons sites in Iran, they have been pressing Bush and his people to do this for them.

Colbert shakes up Bill Kristol over PNAC ties

Bill Kristol, who is one of the major players in the group called PNAC, joined the set of the "Colbert Report," and I think was taken off guard right at the outset of the show because he had to answer questions that our media never asks. PNAC envisioned America attacking the Middle East since the middle '90's and for some inexplicable reason (that was a joke) the media never questions him or his members which have lined the walls of Bush's cabinet about PNAC and how it influenced our foreign policy, which led us to attack Iraq.

International neocon ploy to discredit anti-U.S. politicians by Wayne Madsen

The recent so-called "scandal" in France said to involve French Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin (a notable anti-Iraq war diplomat when he served as foreign minister) is nothing more than a continuation of the neocon "Big Lie" practice.

In this case, French and other international media neocons have claimed DeVillepin orchestrated a scandal involving French Interior Minister and presidential candidate Nicolas Sarkozy. Sarkozy is a strong supporter of Israel's theocratic kleptocracy and a darling of global neocon interests.

Some Reasons I Stay Optimistic by Karen Kwiatkowski

Deconstructing imperial neoconservatism: Sounds intimidating, and I had some powerful minds on board to help me out. These included the wonderful Ray McGovern, co-founder of Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity and Dr. Leon Hadar, author of Sandstorm: Policy Failure in the Middle East and other brilliant analyses. I spoke with Bill Blum, author of several masterful books on American and the CIA, including Rogue State: A Guide to the World's Only Superpower. And of course I spoke to John Sharp, editor of the fantastic Neoconned and Neoconned Again! volumes.

The PNAC Paper Trail by Jeff Huber

The longer the fiasco in Iraq drags on, the more we hear the folks who cooked up the idea of invading that sand dune republic denying that they had anything to do with it. Crooks and Liars provided this John Bolton quote from a press conference televised last week on CNN.
We did not violate the UN charter in the war to overthrow Saddam Hussein and that plan was not drawn...at the Project for the New American Century.

To the People of a Free Iran Regarding BBC Propaganda and Ibrahim Yazdi by Shirin Neshat of Sarbazan

Shirin Neshat of Sarbazan has an interesting op-ed piece on the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and their decision to grant interview time on April 29th to Ibrahim Yazdi, long time apologist for the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) regime.

Ms. Neshat's article is especially noteworthy for the repristination of allegations made by William Bowles of Countercurrents that George Ball, Zbigniew Brezinski, and Bilderberg scholar Bernard Lewis were among the players involved in the overthrow of the Shah of Iran at the behest of British Petroleum and American/British Central Bankers. Her op-ed piece notes that the BBC interview with Ibrahim Yazdi suggests ongoing British and American involvement with the IRI regime.

An interesting question: Why is Ibrahim Yazdi in possession of an American passport and living in Texas?

A second interesting question raised by Frank Whalen of Republic Broadcasting Network: Is Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's confrontational rhetorical style rooted in his affinity for Shiite Islamic eschatology regarding the coming of the 12th Imam? Or is Ahmadinejad, in reality, a secret tool for British/American interests who want a preemptive war with Iran? Does the shadowy British/American relationship with Ibrahim Yazdi, the ex-deputy of ex-IRI Prime Minister Mehdi Bazargan, give credence to Whalen's current suspicions about Western monkey business with Ahmadinejad?

The "New Totalitarianism" now defines a desperate neocon end game by Bob Fitrakis and Harvey Wasserman

As the Bush/neocon kleptocracy disintegrates in a toxic cloud of military defeat, economic bankruptcy, environmental disaster and escalating mega-scandal, its attack on basic American freedoms -- its "New Totalitarianism" -- has escalated to a desperate new level, including brutal Soviet-style prosecutions against non-violent dissidents and an all-out offensive for state secrecy, including an attack on the Internet.

In obvious panic and disarray, the GOP right has turned to a time-honored strategy -- kill the messengers. While it slaughters Americans and Iraqis to "bring democracy" to the Middle East, it has made democracy itself public enemy Number One here at home.

Stop NeoCon Feith From Getting Georgetown Sinecure! by Michael Collins Piper

Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service has announced the appointment to its faculty of infamous former Bush administration armchair neo-conservative warhawk Douglas Feith.

Feith needs no introduction to those who are aware of his role in providing false intelligence that was used to justify the war on Iraq.

Bush-Styled Pax Americana by Miles Woolley

Have you ever noticed how certain words simply refuse to go together? Aside from the obvious oxymora like uniting jumbo with shrimp, or baby with grand, (or president with Bush), there just happen to be combinations of words that resist placement in the same sentence. Some do not even want to coexist on the same page. Pax Americana is supposed to mean peace enforced by the power of America. Another way of defining Pax Americana is to say the peace is due to America’s actions. If peace were due to Britain’s actions, it would be Pax Britannica. If peace were due to Italy’s efforts: Pax Romana, etc.

Bushite Neo-Cons Responsible For May Day Immigration Protests by Alex Smith and Paul Joseph Watson

Today's massive immigration protests which are being afforded lavish and complimentary media attention were orchestrated by the Neo-Cons and the Bush administration and represent a fifth columnist movement openly intent on destroying America as we know it.

The agenda is multi-faceted and includes protecting government drug-running operations, balkanizing the US and lowering the standard of living, and inciting race riots that lead to the justification of martial law and internment procedures being implemented.
