Do you want to know the secret for 100 percent guaranteeing that you will always be on the right side of history for every single foreign policy debate? It takes three very simple steps:

Syria - Neo-Conservatives Demand "Action" - Hope For A Larger War

The U.S. polity and media now acknowledge what we reported on December 21. The U.S. announcement to build up a 30,000 strong PKK army in north-east Syria was a disaster. It prompted Turkey to initiate its attack on YPG/PKK Kurds in Afrin. It threatens do drive it out of NATO and into Russia's open arms. It gives the Syrian government new leverage against the Syrian Kurds.

Nolte: Bill Kristol Reminds Me of a Guy I Knew Who Went to Prison

Reading Bill Kristol’s latest emasculated flail of a troll — the desperation, the manipulation, the intellectual dishonesty, the mind and word games, the cuddling with evil at NBC News — it all took me back to early 1985, to a guy I knew who ended up in prison.

'Suicide Mission': Roger Stone Says Trump Shouldn't Meet Mueller, Rips 'Neocon' Advice to President

Former Trump campaign adviser and longtime confidant Roger Stone told Laura Ingraham that the president should by no means meet with or be interrogated by Robert Mueller.
Stone, who worked with President Richard Nixon and volunteered on Sen. Barry Goldwater's (R-Ariz.) 1964 presidential campaign, called the possibility of talking to Mueller's investigators a "suicide mission."

Republicans Sitting On Evidence That Clears Trump

In the 1970s neoconservative Irving Kristol aptly described the Republicans as “the stupid party.” We are seeing this today in the hesitation of the House Intelligence Committee to release to the American public the results of its investigation of Russiagate.

Pop the champagne? New war in East Ukraine

Well, it looks like the Deep Obama State and the neocons are going to get their new war in East Ukraine. This time it will be with American weapons killing Russians. How cool is that?
Let’s be real. Let’s take off the diplomatic blinders and talk truth for a moment. Yes, Russia invaded Crimea and Donbass by force. Moscow has annexed Crimea, and has de-facto control over East Ukraine. Russia sees these territories as in their sphere of influence, not just during Soviet times, but throughout the centuries of Imperial Russia. I’m not appeasing the Kremlin, I’m just saying this is their viewpoint, love it or leave it.

Trump Administration's New Defense Strategy: Cold War Redux

19 January 2018 will go down in history as the date of Washington’s declaration of a new Cold War, delivered by Defense Secretary James Mattis in the course of a speech he gave at John Hopkins University, marking a new low in US foreign policy.
Mr. Mattis’ speech confirms that any lingering idea or hope that the Trump administration will reorient relations with Russia on a more positive footing than before is as dead as the proverbial Dodo. Instead, it leaves those countries that refuse to accept the writ of the Empire no option but to draw closer in common cause against it – economically, militarily, and geopolitically.

How President Trump Normalized Neoconservatism

It’s fact: Neoconservatives are pleased with President Trump’s foreign policy.
A couple of months back, Bloomberg’s Eli Lake let it know he was in neoconservative nirvana:
“… for Venezuela, [Donald Trump] came very close to calling for regime change. ‘The United States has taken important steps to hold the regime accountable,’ Trump said. ‘We are prepared to take further action if the government of Venezuela persists on its path to impose authoritarian rule on the Venezuelan people.’”

The Shocking Neocon Plan to Invade Iran, Paid for by Jewish Oligarchs

With the streets of Iran heating up in recent days and the Trump Administration's threats hanging over the nation, a look back at an analysis paper by the Saban Center for Middle East Policy at the Brookings Institute gives us a strong sense of what is driving Washington and the Deep State's agenda in the former Persian Empire.

Neoconning the Trump White House

Over the last year critics have warned of the returning neoconservative influence on the executive branch’s national security apparatus, each day a little less confident that President Donald Trump will keep to the seeming anti-interventionist impulses he demonstrated during the 2016 campaign.

Neocon Think Tanks Not Russian Media Are the Enemy Within

In this regard Sputnik now joins RT America (previously directed to register as a foreign agent) in being stigmatized as peddling propaganda instead of news and news analysis, its journalists and contributors smeared by association, in the context of a wider neo-McCarthyite offensive unleashed with the aim of pushing back against opposition to neoconservative nostrums and influence on Western foreign policy, along with its neoliberal economic counterpart.

Iran: The Unfinished Business of Neocons

Of course, any observer of the Middle Eastern politics does not need Mr. Montazeri’s accusation to get to know the real cause of disturbances; it is very easy to extrapolate from the events which destroyed Iraq, Libya and Syria. Iran was on the list of the neocons during the Bush-Cheney administration, but the plans did not work as Vice President Dick Cheney had predicted and planned. He was sure that once the US invaded Iraq, the local people would welcome the soldiers with bouquets of flowers as liberators. Those bouquets never materialized; instead bombs and grenades were showered on the forces and they continue to this day, in the process killing more than one million Iraqi citizens and 4,500 US military personnel on the field and an equal number of Iraq veterans in the US because of suicides.

US Democrats, Neocons ‘Joined Hands’ to Demonize Russia and Create New Cold War

Democrats have “joined hands” with neoconservative policies in sensationalizing Russia as an imminent security threat: a trope neocons worked decades to develop and can finally watch mature into a full-blown international scandal, journalist and author Max Blumenthal told Radio Sputnik.

Surrounded by Neocons – Philip Giraldi

Award winning journalist James Risen has recently described in some detail his sometimes painful relationship with The New York Times. His lengthy account is well worth reading as it demonstrates how successive editors of the paper frequently cooperated with the government to suppress stories on torture and illegal activity while also self-censoring to make sure that nothing outside the framework provided by the “war on terror” should be seriously discussed.

Neocon Bill Kristol Gushes About Oprah 2020

When Oprah Winfrey’s Golden Globes lifetime achievement award acceptance speech was confirmed Monday by CNN to be an expression of “actively thinking” about a 2020 presidential run, there was one Republican who couldn’t contain his glee. The Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol, the most ardent globalist anti-Trump member of the GOP outside of Ohio, took to Twitter to offer his support. He wrote, over the course of several tweets:

The neocons calling the shots over Iran

For if there is one other key certainty in terms of the US response to events unfolding in Iran it’s that the hawkish, neoconservative groups who shape US policy on Iran will now be pulling out all the stops to pile as much pressure on Tehran as possible.

Iranians Can Do Without Bill Kristol’s Solidarity

While the rest of us were celebrating, the Iranian people rang in the new year with a nearly weeklong series of nationwide anti-government protests against corruption and austerity. And they’ve found some unlikely allies in this effort: the same neoconservativeswho have spent the past few decades demanding they meet a fiery death.

Trump and the Neocons Are Exploiting an Iran Protest Movement They Know Nothing About

“The policy of the United States should be regime change in Iran,” Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) has said. “I don’t see how anyone can say America can be safe as long as you have in power a theocratic despotism.” Sanctions are not designed to extract a “better deal” from Tehran or even to dissuade it from engaging in “bad behavior” in the region. That’s a canard to make the United States appear to be playing by the rules of respecting sovereignty.

The Woeful Inadequacy of Never-Trumpism

In December, Susan Glasser, Politico’s chief international affairs columnist, interviewed Max Boot and Eliot A. Cohen for her weekly podcast, The Global Politico.
The result is an extended lamentation of sorts, with Boot and Cohen expressing the angst that now afflicts what used to be called the Republican foreign policy establishment. Yet the exchange, moderated by Glasser, also helps us understand why that establishment was blindsided by the Trump phenomenon. Even today, its members are either unable or unwilling to acknowledge that the voters who repudiated their views by casting ballots for Trump might have had cause to do so.
