Trump's Neocon Folly: Goodbye Nuke Deal, Hello Global Debt Crisis

We’re All Neocons Now

We have a leaked (yeah, right) memo explaining this is the plan.  But, we didn’t need this if we were being honest with ourselves.  Nothing Trump has done since he’s been in office has been contra to this goal; overthrowing the theocracy in Iran.
In fact, it has been a step-wise move in this direction with each decision he’s made.  Commentators I respect and have learned at the knee of still want to give Trump the benefit of the doubt.  Not me.
It’s right there in plain text.

NEOCON JOHN BOLTON TELLS A BIG LIE ABOUT IRAN

National Security Adviser John Bolton is lying again.
He says the US has no intention of invading Iran, taking it back to the Stone Age like he and his fellow neocons did to Iraq in 2003.
On Tuesday, the Washington Examiner reported:

How Neocons Turned American Jews Against Russia

Britain’s Anglo/Israel movement found common cause with the British Empire’s 19th and early 20th century political goals of controlling the Middle East through Jewish resettlement of Palestine which culminated in the Balfour declaration of 1917. This long term plan of the British Empire continues today through American policy and what has been dubbed the Zionist Project or the Yinon plan.

Macron says he's not an 'interventionist'... less than a month after bombing Syria

French President Emmanuel Macron says he has convinced Vladimir Putin he’s no “interventionist or neo-conservative,” and that the recent Western strike on Syria was a “legitimate” response to a “red line being crossed.”

In a feature dedicated to his worldview, published Le Journal du Dimanche, Macron described a meeting between the two leaders in Versailles last year.

The Trump administration: full neocon on steroids

Just as the George W. Bush neocons fomented color revolutions in Georgia, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, and Belarus, the Trump neocons, chiefly, National Security Adviser John Bolton, have green-lighted color revolutions in Nicaragua and Armenia. Both countries are pro-Russia and their themed revolutions have grown in intensity after Bolton took over the National Security Council and began hiring his neocon cronies from past administrations.

The real international community meets in Yalta – without the neocon thought police

In February 1945, Churchill, Roosevelt, and Stalin, the so-called ‘Big Three,’ met in Yalta to plan for the post-war world. In April 2018, the world faces the threat of war again – not from goose-stepping Nazis – but from similarly Russophobic neocon hawks who seem hell-bent on total global domination.

The Anti-Bush Professor and Neocon Extremism

That neoconservatives should express outrage over a tweet by a heretofore unheard of Arab-American professor regarding one of the world’s most famous political dynasties, while continuing to champion the bloody war launched by a member of this dynasty, is telling.

Not only does the neoconservative reaction in the Big Con reveal a gross distortion of moral priorities.  It exposes as well an ideological fanaticism:
The neoconservative is a zealot, an extremist committed to a neo-Imperial Creed that he is willing to advance by whichever means necessary.

British Nut Cases: Top Tories attended ultra-secretive US neo-con event that displayed ‘sci-fi weapons’

Two top Tories have attended a secret conservative forum held on a luxury island in America’s deep south. Michael Gove and Sajid Javid revealed they had attended the clandestine conference on the latest Register of MPs’ Interests.
The three-day trip to the conference, held by the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), cost the conservative MPs £1,922 (US$2,690) each. One of the main conference events was an “interactive” session on “Sci-Fi Weapons that actually exist today.”
The AEI is one of the biggest right-wing think tanks in the US, and is considered a secretive neo-conservative event as the normally publicity-seeking institute issues no press releases about the conference. It’s kept so hush-hush that in 2015, Bloomberg News complained that no one would even confirm whether or not it had snowed.

Remaking the World in the Neoconservative Image

New York Post star columnist Benny Avni has raised alarms that President Trump may be getting too friendly with President Xi of China. This could cause serious international complication if it prevents us from limiting Chinese influence in the world: “A domineering China is bad for America and for the world, as it presents a dictatorial model of governance aiming to compete with Western democracy.”

The Neocons' Real Plan For Syria Emerges From The Lack Of Rubble

I told you over the weekend that Trump’s presidency was over.  As a practical matter it is.  His yielding to his ‘advisors’ on every foreign policy issue makes it clear that he can’t or won’t stand up to the relentless pressure to do what his instincts tell him.
This morning’s article at the Deep State Washington Post paints a very clear picture of what the situation is.  The advisors whose loyalties are dubious run the show.  Their thinking has not evolved one whit from previous administrations.
Remember what Russian President Vladimir Putin always says, “Presidents change. Policies do not.”

The worst apprehensions have come true. Our warnings have been left unheard.

All responsibility for them rests with Washington, London and Paris.
Insulting the President of Russia is unacceptable and inadmissible.

Globalists and Neocons Demand Syria War; Trump Considers Options

As establishment neoconservatives, liberals, and globalists all demand deeper U.S. involvement in Syria's establishment-fueled civil war, much of President Donald Trump's base continues to advocate a total withdrawal of U.S. military forces from the region. Meanwhile, Trump said he is considering all options for how to deal with Syria after the reported chemical weapons attack. But first, the president suggested he wanted to know what happened in the highly suspicious attack, which came not long after Trump suggested that American troops in Syria would soon be coming home.

The Neocon Zionist Plan for an Apocalyptic War in the Mideast

“This year’s extraordinary March Madness was engineered by NATO’s Operation Gladio to trigger yet another unprovoked war of aggression in the Middle East.  2018 has already seen a cascade of fabricated and provocative events that point to the New World Order globalists.  The same perps are planning more false flag terrorist attacks for this April and beyond.  These strategic acts of state-sponsored terrorism are being carried out by the leadership of the Zio-Anglo-American Axis in order to initiate the hot phase of World War 3.  There is both a script and a schedule being strictly followed by this criminal cabal of Neocon Zionists.  Each terror operation is always followed by a highly organized cover-up coordinated by the US, UK and Israeli intelligence communities, participating NATO militaries, Western mainstream media, major social network utilities, federal and local law enforcement agencies, as well as transnational corporate entities such as SERCO.  These same co-conspirators also conduct stunningly sophisticated psyops before, during and after these black ops known variously as Operations Gladio A, B and C depending on their purpose and location.

Turkey’s Invasion of Syria Pits Neocons Against Traditional Imperialists

US foreign policy in the Middle East is not merely adrift, it is in a state of severe crisis. Even as Turkish tanks and warplanes continue to pound US allies in northwestern Syria (The Kurds), powerbrokers in the White House and the Pentagon are unable to settle on a way forward. The frantic attempts to placate their NATO ally, Turkey, while trying to assuage the fears of their mostly Kurdish proxy-army (Syrian Democratic Forces) has further underscored the dismal absence of a coherent policy that would not only address the rapidly-changing battlespace  but also deal with the prospect that a critical regional ally (Turkey) might seek strategic objectives that are directly at odds with those of Washington.  The present disaster that is unfolding in the Afrin canton in Syria’s northwest corner could have been avoided had the Trump administration abstained from announcing that it planned a permanent military presence in east Syria, which implied its tacit support for an independent Kurdish state. This, in fact, was the trigger for the current crisis, the provocation that set the dominoes in motion.

Iran: The Unfinished Business of Neocons

Iran was on the list of the neocons during the Bush-Cheney administration, but the plans did not work as Vice President Dick Cheney had predicted and planned. He was sure that once the US invaded Iraq, the local people would welcome the soldiers with bouquets of flowers as liberators. Democrats have “joined hands” with neoconservative policies in sensationalizing Russia as an imminent security threat: a trope neocons worked decades to develop and can finally watch mature into a full-blown international scandal, journalist and author Max Blumenthal told Radio Sputnik.

Surrounded by Neocons – Philip Giraldi

Award winning journalist James Risen has recently described in some detail his sometimes painful relationship with The New York Times. His lengthy account is well worth reading as it demonstrates how successive editors of the paper frequently cooperated with the government to suppress stories on torture and illegal activity while also self-censoring to make sure that nothing outside the framework provided by the “war on terror” should be seriously discussed.

Neocon Bill Kristol Gushes About Oprah 2020

When Oprah Winfrey’s Golden Globes lifetime achievement award acceptance speech was confirmed Monday by CNN to be an expression of “actively thinking” about a 2020 presidential run, there was one Republican who couldn’t contain his glee. The Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol, the most ardent globalist anti-Trump member of the GOP outside of Ohio, took to Twitter to offer his support. He wrote, over the course of several tweets:

The neocons calling the shots over Iran

For if there is one other key certainty in terms of the US response to events unfolding in Iran it’s that the hawkish, neoconservative groups who shape US policy on Iran will now be pulling out all the stops to pile as much pressure on Tehran as possible.

Iranians Can Do Without Bill Kristol’s Solidarity

While the rest of us were celebrating, the Iranian people rang in the new year with a nearly weeklong series of nationwide anti-government protests against corruption and austerity. And they’ve found some unlikely allies in this effort: the same neoconservativeswho have spent the past few decades demanding they meet a fiery death.

HOW TRUMP NORMALIZED NEOCONSERVATISM

It’s fact: Neoconservatives are pleased with President Trump’s foreign policy.
A couple of months back, Bloomberg’s Eli Lake let it know he was in neoconservative nirvana:
“… for Venezuela, [Donald Trump] came very close to calling for regime change. ‘The United States has taken important steps to hold the regime accountable,’ Trump said. ‘We are prepared to take further action if the government of Venezuela persists on its path to impose authoritarian rule on the Venezuelan people.'”

Trump and the Neocons Are Exploiting an Iran Protest Movement They Know Nothing About

“The policy of the United States should be regime change in Iran,” Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) has said. “I don’t see how anyone can say America can be safe as long as you have in power a theocratic despotism.” Sanctions are not designed to extract a “better deal” from Tehran or even to dissuade it from engaging in “bad behavior” in the region. That’s a canard to make the United States appear to be playing by the rules of respecting sovereignty.

Inside the Fight to Control the Iran Protests Narrative

The Woeful Inadequacy of Never-Trumpism

In December, Susan Glasser, Politico’s chief international affairs columnist, interviewed Max Boot and Eliot A. Cohen for her weekly podcast, The Global Politico.
The result is an extended lamentation of sorts, with Boot and Cohen expressing the angst that now afflicts what used to be called the Republican foreign policy establishment. Yet the exchange, moderated by Glasser, also helps us understand why that establishment was blindsided by the Trump phenomenon. Even today, its members are either unable or unwilling to acknowledge that the voters who repudiated their views by casting ballots for Trump might have had cause to do so.
