Donald Trump discovers his inner neocon

Donald Trump fully embraced his inner neocon before the United Nations today. He lashed out at North Korea, indicating that he was ready to ‘totally destroy’ it. He upbraided Iran as a corrupt and malignant regime that had taken America and its allies to the cleaners with the nuclear deal—’One of the worst and most one-sided transactions.’ And for good measure, he scoffed at various socialist regimes around the globe. The only term missing in his dyspeptic assessment of the carnage around the world was ‘axis of evil,’ the phrase that George W. Bush made famous when he decried Iran, North Korea and Iraq after the 9/11 attacks.

Deconstructing Neoconservatives’ Manifesto for War With Iran

Ever since Donald Trump entered the presidential campaign of 2016, he has been attacking the July 2015 agreement that Iran signed with P5+1 – the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council plus Germany – officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). Calling it "a horrible agreement;" "the stupidest deal of all time," and "the worst deal ever," the President has been trying to find an excuse to take the United States out of the agreement. Finding such an excuse has not, however, been easy because the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has continuously certified that Iran has abided by its obligations under the JCPOA, the most recent of which was announced on 31 August.

Ron Paul on Trump’s UN Speech: A Neocon Dream?

President Trump’s speech yesterday at the United Nations got rave reviews from neocons like John Bolton and Elliot Abrams. The US president threatened North Korea, Venezuela, Syria, Yemen, and Iran. At the same time he claimed that the US is the one country to lead by example rather than by violating the sovereignty of others. Are the neocons on a roll as they push for more war? Have they “won” Trump?

The Neoconservatives Have Declared War on the Realists

And what is this realist foreign policy? For Mearsheimer, some main tenets include:
  • Accepting that the US attempt at nation building in Afghanistan, Egypt, Iraq, Libya, Syria and Yemen "has been an abject failure."
  • "Washington [should] respect the sovereignty of other states even when it disagrees with their internal policies."
  • "Spreading democracy, especially by force, almost always fails."
  • Understanding that "America’s terrorism problem ... is fueled in part by the U.S. military presence on Arab territory as well as the endless wars the United States has waged in the greater Middle East."
  • "The Trump administration should let local powers deal with ISIS."
  • Recognizing that Russia poses no real threat to the United States: "Even if Russia modernizes its economy and its population grows in the years ahead — big ifs — it will still be unable to project significant military power beyond eastern Europe."
  • "A Syria run by Assad poses no threat to the United States"
  • "The new president should also work to improve relations with Iran. "
  • "Encourage the Europeans to take responsibility for their own security, while gradually reducing the remaining U.S. troops there."

The Neocon Case Against The Iran Nuclear Deal – Ron Paul Says It’s One Big Lie!

Why does President Trump listen to Nikki Haley and the neocons when it comes to Iran? Doesn’t he know they are always wrong? Trump has been consistent in his animosity toward Iran and especially the Iran deal, but why? Haley claims that Iran gave up nothing for the deal, but that is just not true. Does Trump think the rest of the world is going to follow the US if the US pulls out of the agreement? Or if the US attacks Iran? Tune in to today’s Ron Paul Liberty Report:

David Frum gets clock cleaned after comparing ‘spirit of 9/11’ to Charlottesville

Liberals, it seems, love to dump all over America, especially on the anniversary of the worst terror attack on U.S. soil.  Case in point: David Frum, senior editor of the left-wing Atlantic, who, on the 16th anniversary of the World Trade Center attack, saw fit to compare the “spirit of 9/11” to Charlottesville.

Nikki Haley: “Political Prostitute”

She’s a neocon Ziofascist geopolitical know-nothing – the most unqualified ever US UN envoy, an embarrassment to the position she holds.

Paul Craig Roberts calls her an “imbecile,” “mindless” and “stupid…the total antithesis of a diplomat.”

Reportedly she’s Trump’s choice to replace Rex Tillerson as secretary of state, his departure likely by year end or sooner.

Clearly, he wants out. He erred taking the job, the former ExxonMobil CEO sidelined to irrelevancy, hawkish generals in charge of US geopolitical policies.

Haley is a brainless Hillary clone, a recklessly dangerous hawk, militantly anti-Russia, cheerleading America’s wars of aggression, threatening Iran and North Korea.

Nikki Haley: Neocon Heartthrob

With the eviction of Steve Bannon and Sebastian Gorka from the inner precincts of the White House and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson besieged and taking fire from virtually all sides, neoconservatives – even the NeverTrumpers among them – must be quietly harboring renewed hopes that their restoration may soon be within reach.

Russia-gate’s Totalitarian Style

The reality is that the Times has engaged in a long pattern of anti-Russia prejudice going back a number of years but escalating dramatically since 2013 when prominent neoconservatives began to target Russia as an obstacle to their agendas of “regime change” in Syria and “bomb-bomb-bombing” Iran.

By September 2013, the neocons were targeting Ukraine as what neocon National Endowment for Democracy president Carl Gershman deemed the “biggest prize” and an important step toward an even bigger prize, neutralizing or ousting Russian President Vladimir Putin.

When neocon U.S. officials, such as Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland and Sen. John McCain, encouraged a coup that overthrew Ukraine’s elected President Viktor Yanukovych, the Times served as a cheerleader for the coup-makers even though the violence was spearheaded by neo-Nazis and extreme Ukrainian nationalists.
