2018 - The Year in Russophobia

Twitter resists neocon pressure for all users to provide documentary evidence that they are not a ‘Russian troll’ before they are allowed to post Tweets. ‘It is utterly outrageous and totally unethical that people should be able tweet under false names in pursuance of geopolitical objectives’ declares the Tweeter ‘NATODefender’.

Clean Break II: Iran Hawks Decide To Burn It All Down

The 20th century was rife with partitions, many of them involving European powers carving up colonial possessions in Africa and the Middle East with what often appears to have been little or no concern for local realities. Perhaps the most famous of these free-hand attempts at state creation is the Sykes-Picot Line, whose legacy is very much still with us (and not for the better). But Sykes-Picot is far from the only example of European colonial borders that are still causing problems decades after they were drawn.

Obama’s Iran Echo Chamber Smears Politico Magazine

Except our betters don’t like it, not one bit, because it reflects poorly on the most significant (yet dubious and controversial) achievement of Barack Obama’s second term. In a tactic familiar to opponents of the Iran deal, the criticism is not aimed not at the facts behind Meyer’s article but at Meyer himself. “It’s a shabby neocon hit piece,” says Valerie Plame’s bestie Joe Cirincione. “A disgusting hit job by both the cabal of people with this agenda and by the reporter who paid lip service to the criticisms of this group,” says Brian O’Toole, a “non-resident senior fellow” at the Atlantic Council. Neocon … cabal … I wonder whom these guys are referring to? (Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.)

Why even the idea that neocon Senator Tom Cotton might run Trump’s CIA is scary

In a recent profile of Tom Cotton, the Wall Street Journals Jason Willick characterizedthe 40-year-old junior Republican senator from Arkansas as “hawkish and realistic” and described his worldview as “tinged with idealism.” Yet it was unclear what the unabashedly Strangelovian Cotton did to earn such a charitable description, as he rattled off a series of opinions that amounted to a call for world war without end.

Trump continues Obama’s wars against democracy

Examples will be cited here, and the silenced lessons will be drawn from them, about the actual nature of the post-1952 U.S. government—the global fascist victory that has increasingly emerged after the immediate ashes of fascism’s global defeat in 1945. This far-right, imperialist or “neoconservative,” international ideology has risen like a phoenix from those physical ashes of World War II, and has increasingly won—led by the U.S. government—against the shrinking democratic world, and now seriously threatens to bring World War III to finish it, against the now non-communist lone nation of Russia, after the U.S. and its so-called ‘capitalist’ (but actually and increasingly fascist) NATO military alliance had won the ideological Cold War, and the communist Soviet Union broke up and ended its Warsaw Pact military alliance in 1991, while the U.S. secretly continued its side of the Cold War and has already brought into its anti-Russian NATO alliance virtually all of the Warsaw Pact nations, and all nations except Russia from the former Soviet Union.

Trump To Release New US Strategy: Will Neocons Cheer?

On Monday, President Trump is expected to release the new National Security Strategy for the United States. Will it rein in some of the global adventurism of the Bush and Obama presidencies? Will it correct the gaping disconnect between what the White House says about places like North Korea and what the Secretary of State says? Will the neocons successfully parlay the document into a road-map for more wars? Today’s Ron Paul Liberty Report is joined by veteran foreign affairs analyst and former US diplomat Jim Jatras to discuss our hopes and fears for this important document:

Neoconservatives may finally get their war with Iran, from Donald Trump

The very day Donald Trump was to deliver on Jerusalem, Benjamin Netanyahu gave a speech about — the Iranian threat to the “entire world.”
If Iran continues unabated, they will have a nuclear arsenal of 100 bombs and more. . . .  This has to be stopped. Not merely because Iran calls for the annihilation of Israel, but because Iran wants to conquer the entire Middle East and go even beyond that. It’s developing ICBMs to reach any point on earth.

Bad Moon Rising: A New Cabinet Will Mark Neocon Ascendancy. “Tillerson Will be Gone Sooner or Later”

At the time, I agreed, but I did note that the neoconservatives have proven to be remarkable resilient, particularly as many of them have remained true to their Democratic Party values on nearly everything but foreign policy, where they are irredeemable hawks, hostile to Russia and Iran and always reliably in the corner of Israel. In short, many neocons can be unmasked as Hillary Clinton Democrats if one looks at them issue by issue, which certainly helps to explain some subsequent developments.

Iraq, Syria, Iran…Are We To Destroy Iran Next?

Years ago there was a plan, A Clean Break: Project for the New American Century(PNAC), to wreck the Oslo peace accords between Israel and the Palestinians and to re-mold the Middle East. It first involved destroying Iraq or in the discredited words of Paul Wolfowitz, “The road to peace in the Middle East goes through Baghdad.”

Yes, The Neocons Are Back

Back during the admittedly brief shock and awe period that immediately followed on the Trump electoral victory, it appeared that there might be an actual realignment of American foreign policy. The neoconservatives virtually unanimously had opposed Donald Trump in the most vile terms, both in the GOP primaries and during the actual electoral campaign, making clear that Hillary was their choice for a future full of unrelenting, ideologically driven warfare to convert the world to democracy. By that metric, one would assume that Trump would prefer to be roasted on a spit rather than have neocons on his national security team, and many in the punditry did agree with that analysis and went on to share that view.

‘We overstepped in that case’ — David Brooks offers another empty apology for supporting Iraq war

Brooks responded:
I was so-called neoconservative. That’s what we cared about. We wanted to defeat the Soviet Union to preserve the human rights of the Soviet Union. We went into Iraq because we thought it would help for democracy around the world, and we overstepped in that case. But it was a human rights-based, democracy- and freedom-based foreign policy that Ronald Reagan stood for.
Sadly, no one pressed the neoconservatives’ Iraq story. Though at other times in the debate Brooks struck conservative themes that, had he taken them seriously, should have stopped him from supporting the Iraq invasion.

Did Ron Paul kiss Benjamin Netanyahu’s hind end?

Ron Paul has said many good things over the years. He attacked Bill Kristol, arguably the leading light of the Neoconservative ideology. In 2003, the Baltimore Sun declared that
“Mr. Paul terrifies the Neocons because, unlike them, he believes in peace over war, an end to our global empire that we can no longer afford and ending all U.S. foreign aid, including ending the $3 billion that we give to Mr. Goldberg’s beloved Israel every year.”

Tom Cotton: 'Most likely to start World War III'

The reviews of a move of Sen. Tom Cotton to the CIA have been tough in many quarters. Take Paul Waldman in the Washington Post:

He recounts Cotton's support of torture and of persecuting even innocent relatives of people who violate Iran sanctions.

In short, calling Cotton a “hawk” does not begin to describe how terrifying his views are. If at any time in the past few years you had asked me, “Which future Republican president would be most likely to start World War III?,” my first answer would have been “Tom Cotton” without hesitation, and I’m sure I’m not alone.

US Neocon Wars Open Pandora’s Box in Europe

To some on the geopolitical stage, “stability” is something like a sacred word.
Of course, the devil is in the details. For decades, the word was used by successive US governments in a sense which did not preclude a certain number of wars – as long as those wars, whether officially declared or merely approved by an American President under the terms of some special Congressional authorization such as the one which is behind most current US military activity, were begun and carried out on American terms.

Chaos and regional war in the Middle East?

Comments are continuously written and issued about the prediction of a chaotic atmosphere in the Middle East by a number of lobbying and power centers known as Neocon-Evangelists. According to the West, the heart of the Old World, called the Middle East or the Near East, has been subjected to the interferences by rising powers, namely foreigners, in Western Europe over the past two centuries. The U.S. became more prominent after World War II in the design of the region where first the Portuguese, the French and then the British infested.

How Trump's CIA Used Bin Laden Files and a Neocon Think Tank to Escalate Tensions With Iran

The Central Intelligence Agency appears to have collaborated with the neoconservative think tank Foundation for Defense of Democracies to try to link Iran to the Salafi-jihadist group al-Qaeda.
Ned Price, a former CIA analyst and spokesman, has suggested that the move may be part of a wider campaign by the Trump administration’s new CIA director to establish “a rationale for regime change” in Tehran.

State Department’s New Victoria Nuland… Is Just Like the Old Victoria Nuland!

Yesterday, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson swore into office a new Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs. Dr. A. Wess Mitchell became the Trump Administration’s top diplomat for Europe, “responsible for diplomatic relations with 50 countries in Europe and Eurasia, and with NATO, the EU and the OSCE.”

If anything, Wess Mitchell may well prove to be Victoria Nuland on steroids. He was co-founder and CEO of the neocon-dominated Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA). Mitchell’s CEPA is funded largely by the US government, NATO, neocon grant-making mega-foundations, and the military-industrial complex. Why the Hush on Neoconservative Links to Trump Dossier?

A brouhaha erupted this week over the creation of a highly questionable and lurid dossier on Donald Trump. That document is of the utmost importance—it may have been cited to authorize wiretaps of Trump Tower—but the controversy over it has unfolded without the true affiliations of some key players being named. We’re not talking about the Democratic National Committee, the Hillary Clinton campaign or their lawyers—all of whom are reportedly behind hiring the opposition research firm that delivered the dossier. This is about the Washington Free Beacon, the neoconservative news site that’s admitted to retaining Fusion GPS before the Democrats did.

Neocons’ Siren Song Has Divorced Republicans From Their Voters

Yet the same crowd sees no contradiction when they argue the world would fall apart if we stopped sending tax dollars to foreign dictators and tyrants.

Are the Neocons Finally with Trump?

Donald Trump finds himself in perhaps his most peculiar company yet as president: among the neocons. His decision to decline to certify Iran’s compliance with the 2015 nuclear agreement is earning him plaudits from some of his most bitter critics. A case in point is Bill Kristol, editor-at-large of The Weekly Standard, who Trump once personally singled out on the campaign trail for castigation. And the plan laid out by the president on Friday was near lockstep with what neocon columnist Eli Lake had been advocating for weeks. Indeed, Trump’s Friday address to the nation—replete with phrases like “rogue regime” and accusations like “there are also many people who believe that Iran is dealing with North Korea”—did seem like a green light to party like it’s 2003.

Donald Trump discovers his inner neocon

Donald Trump fully embraced his inner neocon before the United Nations today. He lashed out at North Korea, indicating that he was ready to ‘totally destroy’ it. He upbraided Iran as a corrupt and malignant regime that had taken America and its allies to the cleaners with the nuclear deal—’One of the worst and most one-sided transactions.’ And for good measure, he scoffed at various socialist regimes around the globe. The only term missing in his dyspeptic assessment of the carnage around the world was ‘axis of evil,’ the phrase that George W. Bush made famous when he decried Iran, North Korea and Iraq after the 9/11 attacks.

Deconstructing Neoconservatives’ Manifesto for War With Iran

Ever since Donald Trump entered the presidential campaign of 2016, he has been attacking the July 2015 agreement that Iran signed with P5+1 – the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council plus Germany – officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). Calling it "a horrible agreement;" "the stupidest deal of all time," and "the worst deal ever," the President has been trying to find an excuse to take the United States out of the agreement. Finding such an excuse has not, however, been easy because the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has continuously certified that Iran has abided by its obligations under the JCPOA, the most recent of which was announced on 31 August.

The Neoconservatives Have Declared War on the Realists

And what is this realist foreign policy? For Mearsheimer, some main tenets include:
  • Accepting that the US attempt at nation building in Afghanistan, Egypt, Iraq, Libya, Syria and Yemen "has been an abject failure."
  • "Washington [should] respect the sovereignty of other states even when it disagrees with their internal policies."
  • "Spreading democracy, especially by force, almost always fails."
  • Understanding that "America’s terrorism problem ... is fueled in part by the U.S. military presence on Arab territory as well as the endless wars the United States has waged in the greater Middle East."
  • "The Trump administration should let local powers deal with ISIS."
  • Recognizing that Russia poses no real threat to the United States: "Even if Russia modernizes its economy and its population grows in the years ahead — big ifs — it will still be unable to project significant military power beyond eastern Europe."
  • "A Syria run by Assad poses no threat to the United States"
  • "The new president should also work to improve relations with Iran. "
  • "Encourage the Europeans to take responsibility for their own security, while gradually reducing the remaining U.S. troops there."

Russia-gate’s Totalitarian Style

The reality is that the Times has engaged in a long pattern of anti-Russia prejudice going back a number of years but escalating dramatically since 2013 when prominent neoconservatives began to target Russia as an obstacle to their agendas of “regime change” in Syria and “bomb-bomb-bombing” Iran.

By September 2013, the neocons were targeting Ukraine as what neocon National Endowment for Democracy president Carl Gershman deemed the “biggest prize” and an important step toward an even bigger prize, neutralizing or ousting Russian President Vladimir Putin.

When neocon U.S. officials, such as Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland and Sen. Has Trump Entered the NEOCON Zone?

It is America’s longest war. It is America’s most unproductive war. The war has accomplished three objectives, none of which helps preserve national security:
  1. The war makes the military industrial complex a lot of money. These are the very forces that are trying unseat Trump.
  2. The war has allowed the US military to protect the drug war lords. This clearly supports the CIA’s drug enterprise which has been in place since the Golden Triangle drug trafficking in Southeast Asia and it was one of the major reasons why the United States fought in Vietnam. This is another case of history repeating itself.
  3. The war protects the future Central Asian pipeline so the oil companies (ie Rockefeller interests), will make a lot of money.

Neocons Push for 20 Million American Deaths

The continuing infestation of America’s body politic by neo-conservatives is resulting in some noted war hawks taking full advantage of President Donald Trump’s lack of a clear-cut US foreign policy to push for something the neo-cons and their Israeli puppet masters have long desired: a two-front war against North Korea and Iran. Although it is well-known among world intelligence agencies that Israel has maintained a quiet role in providing surveillance technology to North Korea, that has not stopped Israel and its propaganda machinery from arguing that if North Korea continues to supply nuclear and missile technology to Iran, both countries qualify as «rogue regimes» worthy of a double-barreled US military attack.

The Neocons are pushing the USA and the rest of the world towards a dangerous crisis

The Neocons have a total, repeat total, control of the Congress, the media, banking and finance, and the courts.  From Clinton to Clinton they have deeply infiltrated the Pentagon, Foggy Bottom, and the three letter agencies.  The Fed is their stronghold.  How in the world will Trump deal with these rabid “crazies in the basement“?  Consider the vicious hate campaign which all these “personalities” (from actors, to politicians to reporters) have unleashed against Trump – they have burned their bridges, they know that they will lose it all if Trump wins (and, if he proves to be an easy pushover his election will make no difference anyway).  The Neocons have nothing to lose and they will fight to the very last one.  What could Trump possibly do to get anything done if he is surrounded by Neocons and their agents of influence?  Bring in an entirely different team?  How is he going to vet them?  His first choice was to take Pence as a VP – a disaster (he is already sabotaging Trump on Syria and the elections outcome).  I *dread* the hear whom Trump will appoint as a White House Chief of Staff as I am afraid that just to appease the Neocons he will appoint some new version of the infamous Rahm Emanuel…  And should Trump prove that he has both principles and courage, the Neocons can always “Dallas” him and replace him with Pence.  Et voilà!

Pak GHQ using PLA ‘neocons’ to damage India-China ties

Analysts tracking developments within the China-Pakistan alliance of the two militaries warn that the Pakistan side is seeking to move the relationship “from the strategic to the tactical”. GHQ Rawalpindi’s expectation is that in future, field operations will take place in a coordinated manner, and both sides will participate in actions undertaken on the initiative of any of the partners. The analysts say that the intention of GHQ Rawalpindi is to make the China-Pakistan military alliance “acquire the core characteristic of NATO, which is that a conflict involving one of the parties will inevitably bring in the other”.

Neocons Leverage Hate For Trump To Push For More War

A savvy Washington observer once told me that the political reality about the neoconservatives is that they alone couldn’t win you a single precinct in the United States. But both Republicans and Democrats still line up to gain neocon support or at least neocon acceptance.
Part of the reason for this paradox is the degree of dominance that the neoconservatives have established in the national news media – as op-ed writers and TV commentators – and the neocon ties to the Israel Lobby that is famous for showering contributions on favored politicians and on the opponents of those not favored.

I was interested to read a piece by Glenn Greenwald in The Intercept about the latest incarnation of the developing liberal-neoconservative merger, detailing the founding of a new group that calls itself the “Alliance to Secure Democracy.” This hybrid creature is a two-headed monster, with Clinton foreign policy honcho Laura Rosenberger, who served as a key figure in the Obama administration, and Jamie Fly, the neocons’ neocon, formerly with the now defunct Foreign Policy Initiative (the reincarnation of the infamous Project for a New American Century), at the helm.

Behold, A Pale Horse: Its Rider Is Named Neocon And Hell Follows Him

Glenn Greenwald finds the implications of the reunion of the Democratic Party with the neoconservatives to be “profound and long-term.” Essentially, it means more expensive wars for Americans who lack health care and pensions, leading to direct military confrontation between the US and Russia and China, which will mean the end of the world. As the Rubio, McCain, Lindsey Graham wing of the Republican Party is also united with the neoconservatives, there is no existing political force, excepting the Bernie Sanders part of the Democratic Party, to counter the neoconservative war agenda.

Tucker Carlson, Neocon Slayer

Oh, it was glorious fun, yielding the kind of satisfaction that us anti-interventionists rarely get to enjoy: not one but two prominent neoconservatives who have been wrong about everything for the past decade – yet never held accountable – getting taken down on national television. Tucker Carlson, whose show is a shining light of reason in a fast-darkening world, has performed a public service by demolishing both Ralph Peters and Max Boot on successive shows. But these two encounters with evil weren’t just fun to watch, they’re also highly instructive for what they tell us about the essential weakness of the War Party and its failing strategy for winning over the American people.

The Neoconservative Ideology and Capitalist System Intellectually Cripple Thomas Sowell

Retired career officer in the Armor Branch of the United States Army and military historian Andrew J. Bacevich: “U.S. national-security policy increasingly conforms to patterns of behavior pioneered by the Jewish state. This ‘Israelification’ of U.S. policy may prove beneficial for Israel. Based on the available evidence, it’s not likely to be good for the United States.”

New Neocon Mantra: Iran, like Soviet Union, on Verge of Collapse

Iran hawks suddenly have a new mantra: the Islamic Republic is the Soviet Union in the late 1980s, and the Trump administration should work to hasten the regime’s impending collapse.
It’s not clear why this comparison has surfaced so abruptly. Its proponents don’t cite any tangible or concrete evidence that the regime in Tehran is somehow on its last legs. But I’m guessing that months of internal policy debate on Iran has finally reached the top echelons in the policy-making chaos that is the White House these days. And the hawks, encouraged by Secretary of State Rex Tillerson’s rather offhand statement late last month that Washington favors “peaceful” regime change in Iran, appear to be trying to influence the internal debate by arguing that this is Trump’s opportunity to be Ronald Reagan. Indeed, this comparison is so ahistorical, so ungrounded in anything observable, that it can only be aimed at one person, someone notorious for a lack of curiosity and historical perspective, and a strong attraction to “fake news” that magnifies his ego and sense of destiny.

This Neo-con administration is pushing Korea– Roosevelt-Japan-Pearl-Harbor-like — into an EMP attack that will murder most of America.

The Neo-con controlled Trump administration is taunting and prodding Kim Jong Un to do the only possible thing North Korea could do in a to-the-death war with the United States — deliver just two nuclear blasts above the United States, to knock out all electronics on each coast, destroying our electronically dependent systems that continuously sustain our population in nearly every way. The administration is part of the plot to get this outcome. Remember, Neo-cons or Deep State were full accomplices in 9-11; they arm and assist ISIS while pretending to fight them; they support the creation of Moslem refugees and the driving of them to Europe creating conditions for a perfect storm of religious and racial conflict. That is all obvious to me. Furthermore, China as allowed North Korea to be the independent rogue crazy-man of East Asia, exactly because they want North Korea to do the super dirty work of conducting EMP war against the United States so that N Korea and not China will be the object of US retaliation, if any. THERE IS NO RATIONAL REASON FOR THE US PUTTING SANCTIONS ON N KOREA AND THREATENING HER WITH GREAT CONVENTIONAL AIR AND NAVAL FORCE. Iceland and Ireland are not on the verge of war with N Korea, why should we be? There is no good
reason.

Vladimir Putin and Oliver Stone: The Neocons Are Dangerous to the United States

So, both Putin and Stone have good reasons to keep an eye on the Neocons, whose grandparents were none other than Trotskyites and Leninists. Neoconservative luminary Francis Fukuyama of Stanford (formerly of Johns Hopkins) himself compares the Neoconservative movement to Leninism. Neoconservatism, according to Fukuyama, is the reincarnation to some extent of both Leninism and Bolshevism.

Trump and the Neocons: Doing the Unilateralist Waltz

The neocon inclination to unilateralism fuses seamlessly with Trump’s psychological inclination to unilateralism. Both play well in the current domestic political climate of hyper-nationalism.

Will the Neocons’ Long War Ever End?

The recent news from Kabul (in Afghanistan), from Manchester and London (in England), from Mosul (in Iraq), from Raqqa (in Syria), from Marib (in Yemen) and from too many devastated and traumatized communities to list makes it only too clear that the world is trapped in an unprecedented and intractable cycle of violence. And yet, incredibly, none of the main parties to all this violence are talking seriously about how to end it, let alone taking action to do so.

Trump Submits to Neocon Orthodoxy

With astounding precision, Donald Trump zeroed in on the worst possible Middle East policy option in his recent trip to Saudi Arabia and made it his own. He rebuffed the efforts of Iran’s newly elected moderate government to open up communications with the West and instead deepened America’s alliances with decrepit autocratic regimes across the Persian Gulf.

The History of the Neocon Takeover of the USA

Foreword by the Saker: the four articles below, combined into one, are an exception to the normal rule which is that this blog doe not republish articles already published in the past.  In this case, at the request of Paul Fitzgerald and Elizabeth Gould, I decided to make an exception due to the importance and interest of the topic: the origins of the Neocon movement.  I am particularly grateful to Paul and Elizabeth who have agreed to my request to remove the original copyright restrictions on this material for publication on the Saker blog.  The analysis they wrote offers a very valuable insight into the roots and history of the Neocon phenomenon.

Why did Trump bomb Cheyrat?

To seal this agreement, two neo-conservative personalities should soon enter the Trump administration, where they will handle European policy :

- Kurt Volker, Director of the McCain Institute (Arizona State University) will apparently be nominated as Director of the Eurasian bureau for the Secretary of State. Volker, an ex-military judge, was President Bush Jr’s ambassador to NATO during the war in Georgia (August 2008).

- Tom Goffus, one of McCain’s assistants at the Senate Committee for Armed Services, will be nominated as deputy assistant for the Secretary of Defense, and tasked with Europe and NATO. Goffus is an Air Force officer who has already occupied this type of function on behalf of Hillary Clinton and the National Security Council.

E. Michael Jones – The Neo Con Song

Trump’s neocon cabal misses the boat on North Korea

Donald Trump’s neocon cabal of National Security Adviser General H. R. McMaster and his assistants Dina Powell and Fiona Hill, the latter in charge of the National Security Council’s Russia desk, are poor choices to gauge subtle messages coming out of North Korea. McMaster, a student of professional Army pencil sharpener David Petraeus, fails to grasp that there are many more methods to ascertain the policies of a secretive country like North Korea. Beyond technical products, such as imagery and signals intelligence, and neocon drivel from such outfits as the Brookings Institution, Council on Foreign Relations, and the Heritage Foundation, there are ground reports from various defense attachés posted at embassies in Pyongyang and psychological analysis of the North Korean leader.

During the Cold War, the Central Intelligence Agency, State Department, and other federal elements employed “Kremlinologists,” who carefully poured over photographs of the Soviet leadership standing atop Lenin’s Mausoleum on Red Square. Emphasis was placed on the physical appearances of the Soviet leaders, where they stood on the reviewing stand in relation to the General Secretary of the Communist Party, and whether they were even present at the November 7 parade marking the anniversary of the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution and the annual May Day parade marking international Communist solidarity. From the photographic data, coupled with human intelligence from Western defense attachés in Moscow, who also attended the parades, intelligence analysts could figure out who was “in” and who was “out,” or heading “out,” within the Soviet leadership.

The same analysis was applied by the CIA to photographs and intelligence reports from similar military parades marking Communist “red letter dates” on other countries, including the October 1 founding of the People’s Republic of China in Beijing, and other celebrations in Pyongyang, Ulan Bator, Mongolia; Hanoi, North Vietnam; Tirana, Albania; and other Communist capitals.

Today, North Korea remains the only country in the world where such analysis of photographs and videos is pertinent, as every nation in the world, including those still purporting to be Communist, are relatively open in comparison with North Korea. However, there does not appear the same level of interest by the CIA and other intelligence agencies in the photographic interpretation or human intelligence-gathering from Pyongyang-based diplomats as was once the case when the CIA’s Medical and Psychological Analysis Center (MPAC) specialized in such matters. Instead, so-called “intelligence” experts are paraded out by the Trump administration engaged in “chest-thumping” about what they had in store for Kim Jong Un. It is truly amateur hour these days at the White House and the CIA, now under the leadership of Mike Pompeo, a Kansas Christian “creationist,” who believes the Earth is only 6000 years old.

Chuck Baldwin: ‘Donald Trump: Just Another Neocon Warmonger’

For years, I have been trying to get people to understand that the key agenda driving both parties in Washington, D.C., is WAR. Neocons and neolibs are all about WAR. They can argue and wrangle about social and domestic issues as much as they want, but what unites them is WAR. When will the American people come to realize that there is just ONE PARTY in Washington, D.C.: THE WAR PARTY?

What Russia-gate Has Wrought

On April 4, Trump fully capitulated to the neoconservative bash-Russia narrative amid dubious claims about a chemical attack in Syria. On April 6, Trump fired off 59 Tomahawk missiles at a Syrian airbase; he also restored the neocon demand for “regime change” in Syria; and he alleged that Russia was possibly complicit in the supposed chemical attack.

Neocons Point Housebroken Trump at Iran

Today the hardline Israeli/neocon agenda is still being pursued by hawks in Congress, who have introduced bills in both houses to ratchet up economic sanctions against Iran and designate a major branch of the country’s armed forces as a terrorist organization. If enacted — against the wishes of other signatories to the Iran nuclear deal — such measures could put the United States and Iran on a war footing.

The Prodigal Son-in-Law: Jared Kushner And The Rise Of The Neo-Cons In The Trump Admin

While Bannon is hardly anti-war or anti-Israel, it seems that Kushner’s commitment to radical Zionism and neo-conservative ideas put him at odds with Bannon – who considers himself a “populist” and is a long-time conservative, unlike Kushner. Indeed, Kushner – until 2012 – was a key supporter of Democrats, much like his father, the notoriously corrupt Charles Kushner, and donated thousands to Democrats like Hillary Clinton and Charles Schumer.

Neocons Have Trump on His Knees

Star neocon Robert Kagan spelled out Trump’s future assignments in a column on Sunday in The Washington Post, starting out by patting the chastened President on the head for his decision to launch 59 Tomahawk missiles at an airstrip in Syria supposedly in retaliation for a chemical weapons attack blamed on the Syrian government (although no serious investigation was even conducted).

TRUMP PUSHES BACK AGAINST NEO-CON PLAN TO INVADE SYRIA

The Trump administration is currently locked in a heated debate over whether to launch a full ground invasion of Syria, with hundreds of thousands of soldiers now massing.
According to White House sources who spoke to Infowars, Trump is reticent to see U.S. troops embroiled in yet another Middle East quagmire, but is under pressure from top neo-cons in his administration to prevent Russia from dominating the region as the fall of ISIS nears.
