The neoconservatives and their allies are now smelling blood. The Trump-era trajectory of the ideologues who ruled under George W. Bush is complicated. Some neocons, such as writers Max Boot, Jennifer Rubin, David Frum and William Kristol, have flown the coop, effectively or explicitly abandoning the Republican Party. Other neocons have thrived, serving in the Trump administration while the 45th president pursues the hawkish line on Iran that the 43th president actually flinched from. If populist-nationalism could be discredited in the process, that is is just the cherry on top.

The turning of David Frum: Why a neoconservative pundit has become a relentless Trump critic
A one-time speechwriter for George W. Bush, David Frum has been a loud critic of the current Republican administration, both in articles for The Atlantic, where he is a senior editor, and in a new book, Trumpocracy: The Corruption of the American Republic. In Toronto this week, he talked to Kenneth Whyte, a founding editor of the National Post (and himself a student of American presidents, including his recent biography Hoover: An Extraordinary Life in Extraordinary Times) about the dangers, and possibilities, of POTUS Donald Trump.

Yes, Virginia (Dare), There IS A Deep State Conspiracy Against Trump. David Frum—Perhaps Unguardedly—Says So!
The Main Stream Media/ Democrat complex obviously got Journolist-type orders to shout down the Nunes Memo, which questions the FBI’s good faith in seeking to surveil (“wiretap”) Trumpworld, and so of course my old friend David Frum, a career MSM Token Conservative, has obediently joined in. Yet his current book Trumpocracy, clearly designed to cater to the apparently insatiable Ruling Class Hate-Trump hunger, confirms—perhaps unguardedly—that Yes, Virginia (Dare), there is indeed a Deep State AND IT IS MOUNTING A COUP AGAINST TRUMP. Significantly, Frum’s evidence is actually quite separate from the current FISA surveillance controversy. But it has been completely missed by reviewers and interviewers. They hate Trump, they really HATE him.

Neocon War Criminal Tells CNN Viewers to Trust Media Because It Lies
Neocon architect David Frum, a man who spearheaded the Iraq WMD war, a man who has never gotten anything right on geo-politics, but has used mainstream media to push his war hawk agenda, (much to the detriment of America and the world), is now on CNN telling viewers to trust mainstream media because they make so many mistakes and lie so much.

David Frum gets clock cleaned after comparing ‘spirit of 9/11’ to Charlottesville
Liberals, it seems, love to dump all over America, especially on the anniversary of the worst terror attack on U.S. soil. Case in point: David Frum, senior editor of the left-wing Atlantic, who, on the 16th anniversary of the World Trade Center attack, saw fit to compare the “spirit of 9/11” to Charlottesville.

Neocon David Frum Worried
How dare Ron Paulians use their knowledge of Republican party rules and dedication and hard work to promote Ron at the Tampa convention? It is so unfair, says Frum. Why don't the Ron Paul people just roll over and play dead like they're supposed to?

Sorry Neocons, Adam Smith Was Not One of You
Defense hawks seem to be hitting Adam Smith’s Wealth of Nations like sophomores cramming for an exam. In the last few days, three separate hawks have invoked Smith three separate times to excoriate the potential defense cuts in the phony debt deal.
John Bolton, the Bush-era neocon whose mustache makes everything he says more menacing, pulled a passage from the book that says that “the first duty of the sovereign” is “protecting the society from the violence and invasion” to warn darkly about all the bad things that would befall America if it doesn’t keep pumping about $700 billion a year that it doesn’t have into the Pentagon (even if it just goes down the $700 toilet, presumably). Meanwhile, Brian Stewart of National Review Online and David Frum no longer of the American Enterprise Institute paraded Smith’s statement that “defense is superior to opulence” to suggest that anyone who questioned why America needs to spend more on defense than the rest of the world combined obviously has zero regard for national security.

David Frum and the Winds of War
According to Frum, “Because the U.S. presence in Afghanistan requires cooperation from Pakistan, the Afghanistan mission perversely inhibits the United States from taking more decisive action against Pakistan’s harboring of terrorism.” The US has got it “upside down,” he says: Pakistan is the real Enemy. He then goes into a laundry list of aggressive actions he would like us to engage in, including US military action to “disable” Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal.
This last is particularly crazy, even for a dyed-in-the-wool neocon like Frum: does this born again “moderate” Republican really want to start a war – bound to go nuclear – with Pakistan? He just can’t understand why the Obama administration doesn’t do its duty and risk turning Central Asia into a radioactive wasteland:

Neocon David Frum Distorts Reality To Push An Anti-Palestinian Narrative
Former George W. Bush speechwriter David Frum just posted pure pro-Israel propaganda on his blog, Frum Forum. In it he attempts to outline why a UN Security Council recognition of a Palestinian state along the 1967 borders would be counterproductive.
First, he disingenuously blames the failure of the latest rounds of peace talks on the Palestinians, and then concludes that for the UN to recognize a Palestinian state would be tantamount to giving Abbas cover to never speak with Israel again:
From the beginning of the Obama administration, PA President Mahmoud Abbas has refused to negotiate directly with Israel. Indirect discussions have stumbled along without result. Abbas has insisted he cannot talk without a settlement freeze. Then when he gets his settlement freeze, he explains he still cannot talk.
The beauty of the UN approach is that it provides a perfect excuse never to talk to Israel again.
What Frum fails to mention is that the United States government demanded that Israel freeze its illegal settlement expansions. By conveniently omitting this fact he implies that ONLY the Palestinians made such a ‘bold’ demand that Israel stop stealing their land as a sign of good faith in negotiating borders roughly along the 1967 green line (with occasional land swapping).
