Neocon Takeover of Washington Completed

Pompeo at State and Bolton as Trump’s national security advisor completed the neocon takeover of Trump’s geopolitical agenda – Wall Street running domestic affairs.
The combination represents a major setback for world peace and stability, greater aggression likely, along with the triumph of neoliberal harshness over social justice – a dismal and frightening state of affairs.

Dems Kept Cheerleading Bush-Era Neocons – Now There’s One In The White House

Dems are criticizing Trump’s National Security Advisor pick, not because he’s a warmonger who was one of the original members of the Project for a New American Century, but because he’s allegedly too soft on Russia, Caitlin Johnstone explains.

As so many of us have been dreading, PNAC’s favorite bloodthirsty child killer John Bolton has been added to the Trump administration. And as many half-jokingly predicted, Democrats seized on this opportunity to accuse Bolton of being a Kremlin agent.

THEY GOT HIM: TRUMP REPLACES MCMASTER WITH NEOCON SCUM JOHN BOLTON

Bolton was part of a neocon cabal, spearheaded by the Project for the New American Century (PNAC), founded by Bill Kristol, whose lineage is Trotskyite through and through. His Father, Irving, and men like Albert Wohlstetter and Zbig Brzezinski had an idea that America should export democracy throughout the world, just like Trotsky wanted to export communism. Bill organized a group in 1997, led by Robert Kagan, Paul Wolfowitz, Richard Perle, Elliot Abrams, Bruce Jackson, and John Bolton — just to name a few.

‘Never Trump’ Ralph Peters Was Shamed By Tucker Carlson Before Quitting

“I would hate to go back and read your columns assuring America that taking out Saddam Hussein will make the region calmer, more peaceful, and America safer, when in fact it has been the opposite and it has empowered Russia and Iran, the two countries you say you fear most — let’s be totally honest, we don’t always know the outcomes,” Carlson said. “They are not entirely protectable so maybe we should lower that a little bit rather than calling people accommodationist.”

Despite the mainstream media spin, it appears that another disgraced neocon is taking his ball and going home after humiliating himself completely. The swamp is being drained, even at FOX News, due to the Trump effect.

Rand Paul Battles The Rise Of Neocons Within The Trump Administration

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) emerged as one of President Donald Trump’s top confidants in 2017 as they worked together on health care, tax reform and other key issues. Paul is trying to get the ear of Trump yet again as he tries to stop him from appointing neocons into key posts of his administration.
Paul is leading the way to oppose Trump’s picks for CIA Director and Secretary of State. Trump has tapped Mike Pompeo for Secretary of State, who Paul believes is a departure to George W. Bush-era foreign policy.

Bush Is Gone, but the Neocons Are Back

Once upon a time there were hopes that Donald Trump as president might pursue a different kind of American foreign policy; call it non-interventionist, or isolationist, or transactional.
He certainly broke with conventional Washington discourse. When the foreign policy establishment of Washington almost unanimously urged President Obama in September 2013 to punish the Syrian government for a chemical gas attack, Trump tweeted, “Do not attack Syria” three times in two days.

REVENGE OF THE NEOCONS

President Donald Trump’s cabinet is starting to look more and more like a Bush-Cheney war room.
The irony is thick, considering candidate Trump’s promises to “drain the swamp,” his claimed opposition to foreign intervention, and his apparent antagonism to the Bush dynasty in the lead up to election day.

Sen. Rand Paul: Why I can't support neocons Pompeo at State, Haspel at CIA and Bolton as NSA

The neocons have been so completely and regularly wrong for decades now that it’s almost unimaginable to believe they would ever be in a position to advise a president again – let alone to wield the kind of power they will have if they lead some of our nation’s most powerful institutions.
Yet the past week has brought such a resurgence of this failed ideology that you would be forgiven for thinking we had time-traveled back to 2003.

Return of the Neo-Cons: Mike Pompeo and the Death of Diplomacy

Secretary Tillerson was far from an ideal choice, but his anointed successor at the State Department – Mike Pompeo – may ditch diplomacy all together and start a war!

We both attended West Point. That’s where the commonalities end. I’ve been a soldier opposed to (endless) war; he’ll be a statesman opposed to peace. That should give us cause for pause.

Rand Paul: Why Is Trump Nominating Neocons Instead Of America Firsters?

If Paul’s unhappy now, just wait until Trump picks John Bolton to replace H.R. McMaster. We’ll have Paul muttering about neocons in his sleep, if he’s not already. Anyway, Paul committed himself to obstruction on both nominees, but so far hasn’t used the F-word:

CIA Director Pompeo Replacing Tillerson at the State Department. Shakeup at the CIA. Hawkish Neocons in Charge of “US Foreign Policy”

Pompeo is a neocon hawk, fully supporting Washington’s imperial agenda, its permanent war on humanity – beliefs incompatible with diplomacy.
Appointing him chief Trump administration diplomat is a giant step in the wrong direction.
He’s militantly anti-Russia, anti-Iran, anti-North Korea, anti-other sovereign independent governments, anti-world peace and stability.

Africa is the Next Major Battleground for the Neoconservative War Machine

AFRICOM was created during the George W. Bush administration, an administration that was completely stacked with neoconservative actors. One of the key meetings that helped bring AFRICOM into reality was convened by then Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld, in 2006. As Stephanie Hanson wrote in a 2007 article on AFRICOM for the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR):

The National Endowment for (Meddling in) Democracy

“They’re meddling in our politics!” That’s the war cry of outraged Clintonites and neocons, who seem to think election interference is something that Russians do to us and we never, ever do to them.
  • Neoconservative ideologue Jeane Kirkpatrick, Reagan’s ambassador to the UN, famous for her argument that “traditional authoritarian governments” should be supported against “revolutionary autocracies” because they are “less repressive” and whose UN aide

North Korea Breakthrough? Don’t Tell the Neocons!

While North and South Korea are making incredible progress toward de-escalation of tensions – with a successful high-level meeting recently in the North – the neocons are still calling on the US to launch a “preventative” strike on Pyongyang. They do not even seem deterred by North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un’s suggestion that ending his nuclear program is on the table. Will President Trump green light direct negotiations or will the neocons win out (again)? Tune in to today’s Ron Paul Liberty Report:

US Destabilization Plan for Iran and the Middle East, and the Need to Strengthen the Resistance

In the previous section (1), I examined the US agenda of global domination (2) under the direct influence of the Neo-Conservative “Project for the New American Century” (3).  In this section, the question will be further investigated in the framework of another Neocon project, the “Greater Middle East Initiative” (4). The initiative which is claimed to promote ‘democracy and human rights’(5) in the region, was part of President Bush’s “forward strategy of freedom,” by which the US-led expansion of political rights and political participation in the Muslim world is imputed to combat the appeal of Islamist extremism.

The Council on Foreign Relations’ Push Towards a New Cold War

WASHINGTON — If you are even a casual consumer of Western media then you know the current top threat to U.S. security according to corporate journalists is Russian aggression.
According to neoconservative politicians such as Arizona Senator John McCain, the Russian interference in last year’s election — which has so far only been shown to be a series of fairly banal Facebook ads that essentially just highlighted the organic chaos of the 2016 campaign — amounts to an “act of war.”
