Multilateralist, isolationist, neocon: Senate's next generation speaks out on foreign policy

Fresh voices in the U.S. Senate are speaking loudly on foreign policy.

It's a new generation reflecting a war-weary nation cautious about America's next moves.

Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire and Rand Paul of Kentucky stand on either side of the growing Republican divide. It pits those favoring more robust engagement overseas against isolationist, deficit-driven concerns. Democrat Chris Murphy of Connecticut is at the forefront on Ukraine while Tim Kaine of Virginia focuses on Afghanistan.
