Israeli Spy Larry Franklin Pleads Guilty to Reduced Charges

In a statement, Franklin told the judge that the spying relationship with his Zionist handlers lasted from early 2002 through June of 2004. In one admission to the court, Franklin finally tied the espionage ring directly to Israel, saying that he had met with Naor Gilon, Israel's "political department" chief at the Embassy, on at least eight separate occasions.

While some believe that one of the reasons for Franklin's visits was to seek input on how to "spin" the neo-con line in favor of war with Iran within the DoD, the government contended that the spies also provided Gilon -- who has escaped to Israel -- with stolen secret material directly. Franklin's statement confirms the contention. The US government is understood to have looked at others in the case, though thus far no-one else has been charged.
