Bolton made his comment following a report last week that Russia will begin loading nuclear fuel at Iran’s Bushehr reactor on July 21. “Once that uranium, once those fuel rods are very close to the reactor, certainly once they’re in the reactor, attacking it means a release of radiation, no question about it,” the AFP reports Bolton as saying today. “So if Israel is going to do anything against Bushehr it has to move in the next eight days.” On August 15, Infowars.com reported on comments made by Sergei Novikov, a spokesman for Rosatom, the Russian Energy State Nuclear Corp. “The fuel will be loaded on Aug 21. This is the start of the physical launch” of the reactor, he said. “From that moment the Bushehr plant will be officially considered a nuclear-energy installation.” Russia is currently operating under a $1 billion contract with Iran and has worked for over a decade on the reactor.
